Published by Course Technology While I'm keeping my SQ, I've been considering buying a 15' batwing for myself and have been looking at several used BH Legends.
I have a few questions for anyone who may have some insight: 1. Ads often refer to 'new style gear boxes'. Based on looking through several ads in print and on-line, these 'new style' gear boxes all appear to be more square in shape. It seems like the round shaped gear boxes no one really says anything about. Are the round gear boxes the 'old style' and were they more prone to problems than the 'newer' design?
Any ideas on what years the L was produced? The tags on the deck will have a serial number and such but nothing real concrete as to a build date or model year. I even called BH about one particulare L to run the serial number by them and after getting passed around several times, my call landed at their parts department. I ran the serial number by him and he gave me a range of two years that the BH could have been made in. Any owner input on this model? I'm also looking at some Woods and Land Prides.
It just seems there is an abundance of L's on tractorhouse and fastline.
